This is the second book in the Dream Catcher series, I will not post any intentional spoilers but please do not keep reading if you have not read Wake.

SUMMARY:
For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.
She can't tell anybody about what she does they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can’t control.
Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant. -Goodreads.com

REViEW:
The plot of Fade was very easy to get into. Once I started reading this book, I did not want to put it down. McMann's writing is unique and fast-paced, which was just what this book needed. I enjoyed this book much more than the preceding one. This one had a lot more depth to it and was very enjoyable. I really felt as if I was a part of Janie's world.

The characters were a major improvement from the last book. The last book did not develop the characters. In this installment, I really was able to get to know Janie and Cabel and loved it! They are really great characters. I'm looking forward to even better understanding them in the next book.

The ending was very thrilling. I was on the edge of my seat, rooting for janie and hoping the bad guy would be punished. It was great. It was kind of like watching an action movie. I really, REALLY enjoyed this book. The whole part about Dream Catchers was shocking and surprised me. It made me ready to buy the next book.

My Favorite Part: The plot was so intriguing!

ALL iN ALL:
Do I recommend this book? Yes, it's a really quick and entertaining read.
Will I be reading the sequel? Yes, I'm really eager to dive right into it.

Thanks for reading!

SUMMARY:
Obviously, something went terribly wrong. Genetic mutations have festered, reducing human longevity to twenty-five, even less for most women. To prevent extinction, young girls are kidnapped, mated in polygamous marriages with men eager to procreate. Sixteen-year-old Rhine Ellery, a recent victim of this breeding farm mentality, has vowed to break loose from its fetters; but finding allies and a safe way out is a challenge she can only hope she will survive. A dystopian fantasy series starter with wings. Editor's recommendation-Goodreads.com

REViEW:
This book left me breathless. When I initially picked up this book, I did not expect to like it as much as I actually did. This book went above and beyond what I expected. Wither is a dystopian tale, but it is unlike the others that I have read. The premise and world that DeStefano creates in Wither is very unique and hauntingly beautiful. It is a horrible world to live in, I certainly feel bad for Rhine, Jenna, and Cecily. I would never want to be forced into a marriage. It's horrible, but it seems so normal and typical while reading the book. It takes a true author to be able to transport you into a fictional world. Another thing I loved about this book was the strong emotions that in evoked within me. I cried at one part in the book, and that is really rare for me. I also found myself cheering for Rhine at the end. I was completely absorbed in this book, which made this book even more enjoyable.

The characters were just as amazing as the plot. Rhine was three-dimensional and very realistic. Rhine is a strong female protagonist. I loved seeing her strength as well as her hope of running away. Although I'm not exactly like Rhine, I felt like I was Rhine while reading this book. Usually I have to perfectly relate to a character, but with Rhine I felt as if I just fit into the story alongside her. It was a very neat experience. I also loved Jenna and Cecily. They both had they're backstories and I felt like I was able to get to know them alongside Rhine. Rowan, I feel like I was able to get to know him from Rhine's reminiscing. I also felt bad for Linden, he was such an interesting character. Vaughn was the most perfect evil villain in this book. All of the characters came together to add some color to this already glowing book.

The ending was very good as well. It was a little bit simple, but the climax and other event leading up to the end gave it some power. I really enjoyed the ending. It seemed like the perfect conclusion. It left me with many answers, but also left some questions unanswered to fill the next book. The ending is not a cliffhanger, but it does leave the reader wondering what will happen next in Rhine's adventure. All in all, I have definitely enjoyed this book. It is certainly a new favorite of mine. It had something special that I haven't read in a while.

My Favorite Part: The entire story was just breathtaking. I loved how it evoked so much emotion within the reader.

ALL iN ALL:
Do I recommend this book? Absolutely it was very unique and amazing!

Will I be reading the next book? Definitely! I liked this book so much that I'm going to pre-order the next book!
